It is estimated that two million tons of medical surplus products are discarded each year by US hospitals. In addition, manufacturers and distributors often discard items because of cosmetic damage, manufacturing overruns or changes in packaging. Much of this surplus is usable and capable of saving lives

The MedSurplus Network collects these usable, but unwanted items and after intensive sorting and quality control, distributes these items to needy medical facilities in the United States and around the world.
